‧ Size: 7 to 8 feet in height
‧ Weight: 660 to 1520 lbs
‧ Lifespan: appx 40 years
‧ Location: Sahara Desert and Arabian peninsula
‧ Diet: Primarily thorny plants, dry grasses, and saltbush
‧ Conservation status: Domesticated

‧ Dromedary Camels have only one hump.
‧ The hump stores up to 80 pounds of fat, which a camel can break down into water and energy when food and water are not available.
‧ Their humps give these camels their legendary ability to travel up to 100 desert miles without water.
‧ Their long limbs and leathery padded feet help adapt them to arid, sandy, desert climates.
