So, a large portion of the planning for the road trip I took with my Portland Crew Cody Keto, Josh Paris and Minaz Sarker earlier this month revolved around a few 3 am milky way sessions.
We only made it happen one night and it was pretty glorious as far as Milkyway goes. But man was it dark. Usually, there’s at least some stray light or something to light up the foreground, but this was different and I was kinda surprised. In this case, the Milkyway itself was responsible for pretty much everything you see on the ground.
That creates a bit of a challenge if you want to create an image without stacking, compositing shots from earlier in the evening and that sort of thing.
Well, this one is just that. One image, no stacking, no composites.
