Well what a day it was today! Thats not even a 1/4 of the test strips I used today!

I was up all night trying to get my my 18.0 mmol/L ( 324 mg/dl) down. I set a alarm for 3am to check again because I had NovoRapid and needed sleep desperately . I wake up in the morning. I miss the alarm! But it did come down to a 11.1 mmol/L ( 199 mg/dl). Not great but acceptable. Rightyo. Morning tea was a 11.8 mmol/L (212 mg/dl). It stabilized. Lunch was a 14.1 mmol/L ( 253 mg/dl) so I did a correction as well as my food bolus. Afternoon tea was 13.9 mmol/L ( 250 mg/dl) So I did a half then normal correction with my Afternoon Tea shot (I am known to drop with a afternoon tea injection). Well FFS! even with a reduced correction I plummeted to a dangerous 2.2 mmol/L ( 39 mg/dl) Yelled out to my mum (poor mum) and ran and guzzled down the whole bottle of Lucozade and had a sandwich as the follow up long acting carb. To make it worse my Accu-Chek Nano was playing up and I was suspecting the low, I walked to the car to get the school one. So the Nano is being punished by not being used for the next 24 hours and will go on dirty school duty for a week. If you look at yesterday picture I also had a low like this and it was around the same time. Time to adjust my afternoon tea carb:insulin ratio. Its been a long tough day and now I am sitting on a gross 12.5 mmol/L (225 mg/dl) I desperately need this insulin pump asap!
